"Teachers who inspire realize there will always be rocks in the road ahead of us. They will be stumbling blocks or stepping stones; it all depends on how we use them."

Hi! My name is Lindsay Raya and I am currently a senior at Illinois State University. I am majoring in Learning and Behavior Special Education, specifically Early Childhood Education. I have created this website in order to give back to the professional learning network I have made throughout my special education experience.
I have a lot of experience with special education. The reason I am pursuing a Special Education degree is because of a child named Michael that I had babysat for; Michael is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have watched him grow over the years and have learned a lot about Autism, as well as special education in general. I have also worked with adults with special needs as well. Throughout my years as a Special Education major, I have realized that this is the right major for me and am excited for the rest of my journey with special education.
I have experience with many assistive technology tools as well. I have worked with PECS, Boardmaker, DynaVox products as well as many adaptations for computers, wheelchairs, keyboards, etc. I am looking forward to learning more about the assistive technology tools I can use in my classroom.
